Sculptor. Born Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, son of the sculptor Geoffrey Clarke RA, under whom he served an apprenticeship from 16. He went on to work mainly in sandcast aluminium from his own studio and foundry in Hartest. He was elected RBS in 1994. He has exhibited extensively with several solo shows at Chappel Galleries, 1993-2005. In 2000, Clarke’s show at Chappel coincided with publication by the Gallery of a monograph on his work, Head on, by David Buckman. A series of exhibitions at John Russell Gallery, Ipswich from 1995. From 2005 a number of exhibitions with strand gallery, Aldeburgh. Clarke’s commissions include Ely Cathedral, Chichester Cathedral, Southwell Minster, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Tesco, Asda.
