A wonderful rich and strong etching & aquatint “Vaternish from Cuidrach, Skye” dating from c1972/76 Sold by the Thackeray Gallery, London in 1976 also “Trees, Mead Farm” a powerful sanguine and pencil drawing that hailed from the Paintings in Hospitals Collection and the last Coker “Tunstall” a pen study for a painting. … Read More
Jonathan Clarke “Shared Dialogue” aluminium sculpture- 12.5″ tall- 2015. Three works by Mary Newcomb “Pigeon on a Bridge, Above Priory” pencil and watercolour wash c1980, a wonderful pencil and watercolour of Farm Machinery with a strong local connection as the farm equipment to the left is clearly manufactured by Ransomes and “Fields are striped ready for rolling” pencil and wax crayon. Two very scarce early works by Josef Herman RA- “Awaiting the Outcome” pen & wash c1946 (an early Welsh Study) and “Boy at table with Oil lamp” another 1940s work most probably predating Wales and dating from the Glasgow Period. I have this afternoon added 7 x 1950s, 1960s and 1970s works by Glyn Morgan (Born 1926) an outstanding Welsh and East Anglian Artist who was taught and influenced by Ceri Richards and taught and befriended by Cedric Morris.
